Welcome to AH Art Stuido,

   My name is April Hunt. I am an self taught Artist from Rhode Island. I've live in this beautiful State my entire life. I'm married to a wonderful man who supports me and a mother of 2 amazing kids.  
   I've worked for the State of Rhode Island for 19 years  and on my free time, I love to create art. Although I do not have a degree in art. I've always had a paint brush or color pencil in my hand, for as long as I can remember.  
   Art alway has a way of bring me to my happy place. Whether it's been a long day at work or something in my life isn't going the way I'd hoped.

 I love all types of mediums, color pencils, pastels, acrylic paint, etc..  I'm alway up for a new challenge, when working with a new medium. Expanding my pallet and teaching myself something new.  
    I'm also  involved in my community with hosting a Art Club, at a local school. I've always been grateful for participating in the public school art programs,  in my adolescent years. It helped me expand my creative mind. Therefore, I'm excited to provide the same experience for other kids. Where they have the opportunity to express themselves through art with a smile! 
    I'm an animal lover. I have three beautiful dogs of my own, Chase, Wesley, and my little girl Ruby!!  We enjoy walking on the beach, on those beautiful sunny days! 
  Although I am available for all commissioned work .   My passion is  pet portraits.   I  understand the importance of holding on to those precious memories.  Thoughtout my entire life, I have always had a dog by my side.  My very first dog, as a young adult  was Rocky.  He was a chihuahua /pug mix.  I had him for 18+ years before I had to make the unselfish decision to put him down.  Rocky was a very special little dog . To this day, he is in my thoughts . 
  So its very important to me, to help others in holding on to their memories through art. I vow to make your pet portrait experiences  one to remember and share. As well as,  bring an overwhelming feeling of joy and happiness . Furthermore , I vow to make every stroke count and display every detail, down to the underbite! 
  On this platform I am please to present a page, "Forever Treasure."   This page is a memoir for fokes  who have lost a pet along the way and who would  like to share a few words of endearment!
